About the General Election
I spent 25 years working for the City of Durham. To see it so debilitated really upsets me. Call 911, and no one may answer. It's almost 5 years since our 911 Emergency Call Center has met minimum standards. Our roads are terrible and rapidly getting worse, while the Public Works department has been gutted, now having a 60% vacancy rate.
Restoring good government will take big change on City Council. Do not vote for anyone who is associated with the majority voting block of Javiera Caballero, Leo Williams or Mark Middleton. Jillian Johnson is not running for re-election, but her proxies, backed by her money, are Carl Rist and Kahlilah Karim.

ASAP please do what you can to encourage everyone you know to vote. The General Election is happening NOW. Overcoming the People's Alliance and Indy endorsements must rely on person-to-person information, since there is little or no substantive news coverage.
